Pop star BoA, a member of SM Entertainment, has made a heartwarming donation of 100 million won to the orthopedic department at Samsung Seoul Hospital.
BoA delivered the donation on the 30th, aiming to support orthopedic patients who are struggling financially and unable to afford non-covered medical treatments.
Recently diagnosed and treated for acute osteonecrosis, BoA has firsthand experience with the pain and recovery process. She expressed her hope that the donation would provide both comfort and tangible assistance to others facing similar challenges.
An SM Entertainment representative shared, "In celebration of her 25th debut anniversary, BoA decided to give back the love she has received in a meaningful way. This donation is filled with her sincere wish to offer a bit of strength to those who are suffering."
Beyond this donation, BoA has consistently engaged in various philanthropic activities.
Last year, she donated 100 million won to support the independence of young adults aging out of foster care and became the 3100th member of the 'Honor Society' and the 700th member of the 'W Honor Society,' a group of female Honor members. She also donated 50 million won to Seoul Asan Hospital for the treatment of pediatric cancer patients on Children's Day.
Meanwhile, BoA is set to release her 11th studio album 'Crazier' on August 4th, marking her 25th debut anniversary with a special celebration with her fans.
