ILLIT MINJU is set to make her first pitch debut.
According to her agency, BELIFT LAB, MINJU will be the special first pitcher at the LG Twins vs. kt wiz home series game, taking place at Jamsil Baseball Stadium in Songpa District, Seoul, at 6:30 PM on the 31st. MINJU's appearance on the Jamsil mound is expected to send a special message of support not only to fans but also to the players.
Ahead of the pitch, MINJU shared, "This is my first time throwing the first pitch, so I'm quite nervous but also excited. I've prepared hard for this opportunity given by the LG Twins, and I hope to convey my positive energy through the pitch," she said. She added, "I will cheer for the players until the end so they can have a great game."
ILLIT, the group MINJU is a part of, will officially debut with the release of their first single 'Toki Yo Tomare' (時よ止まれ) in Japan on September 1st. The title track of the same name is a disco pop genre that captures the brilliant moments of youth that one wishes would never end, with lyrics by popular Japanese singer-songwriter Murasaki Ima, adding a bouncy charm to the song.
The single will include not only the title track but also 'Topping', the Japanese version of 'Do the Dance' from their mini 3rd album 'bomb', and 'Almond Chocolate', ILLIT's first original Japanese song that gained reverse popularity in Japan after its release in February, totaling four tracks.
Following their debut in Japan, ILLIT will hold the fan concert '2025 ILLIT GLITTER DAY IN JAPAN', engaging in full-fledged communication with local fans. The concert will take place over four sessions at Yokohama Pia Arena MM on August 10-11 and Osaka Castle Hall on September 3-4, with all general admission tickets selling out quickly, proving ILLIT's strong ticket power.
