'My Turn' Lee Kyung-kyu Pulls a Bold Move to Keep Choo Sung-hoon "Let's Get Rid of Kim Jong-kook"
My TurnIn 'My Turn', Choo Sung-hoon announces his departure from the trot idol group due to Kim Jong-kook.

The new SBS variety show 'My Turn', set to premiere on August 7th (Thursday) at 9 PM, features Lee Kyung-kyu, Tak Jae-hoon, Choo Sung-hoon, Lee Su-ji, Kim Won-hoon, Park Ji-hyun, and Nam Yoon-soo as they embark on a trot idol project, aiming for a big score with their hidden desires in this B-grade, no-holds-barred fake reality show.

In a pre-release video shared on the official YouTube channel on the 31st, trot idol producer Lee Kyung-kyu and member Choo Sung-hoon are seen having a tense conversation on a rooftop. Choo Sung-hoon, incredulously asks, "Does this make any sense, senior?" upset over the fact that Lee Kyung-kyu had considered Kim Jong-kook for the trot idol group instead of him, stirring interest.

As Lee Kyung-kyu, who had been merely observing without saying much, asks, "What can I do to make you reconsider?" Choo Sung-hoon delivers a heavy blow with, "I'm out," exacerbating the situation. Lee Kyung-kyu, who had initially thought of Kim Jong-kook as the sexy star on stage, blames himself in a situation where nothing seems to work.

In response, Lee Kyung-kyu says, "Let's get rid of Jong-kook. Yeah, let's get rid of him," adding, "You're the 'sexy star' now," as he plays his trump card. As Choo Sung-hoon ponders, Lee Kyung-kyu persuades him, "Just trust me this once. There's a way. Getting rid of Jong-kook is no big deal," leaving viewers curious whether their covert operation will proceed and if Lee Kyung-kyu can prevent Choo Sung-hoon's departure.

Meanwhile, 'My Turn' has been garnering explosive reactions with its pre-release videos ahead of its first broadcast. The pre-release video featuring Lee Kyung-kyu on a quest to find 'Trot King Na Hoon-a' and Lee Su-ji transformed into yogurt lady Park Ae-soon has surpassed approximately 3.4 million views on YouTube Shorts and about 3.15 million views on Instagram Reels. The room battle pre-release video featuring Tak Jae-hoon and Choo Sung-hoon has reached about 3.6 million views on TikTok and about 1.3 million views on Instagram Reels, showing a steady increase.
