The Netflix film 'Love Untangled,' starring Gong Myoung and Shin Eun-soo, has confirmed its release for August 29.
Set in 1998, 'Love Untangled' follows the story of nineteen-year-old Park Se-ri, who plans a major operation to straighten her lifelong complex of frizzy hair before making the biggest confession of her life. This plan gets tangled up with a new student, Han Yoon-seok, unfolding a youthful romance. The fresh ensemble of next-generation trendsetters, including Gong Myoung, Shin Eun-soo, Cha Woo-min, and Yoon Sang-hyun, is set to depict the love and friendship of vibrant teenagers, promising a refreshing chemistry.
Moreover, director Namkoong Sun, acclaimed for her distinctive directing style in award-winning films like 'Time to Be Strong' and 'Ten Months' at the 2024 Jeonju International Film Festival, is expected to warmly and lovingly capture the unpredictable stories of teenagers with her unique delicate perspective.
The teaser poster released on the 1st captures attention with the image of nineteen-year-old Se-ri (Shin Eun-soo) struggling to straighten her puffy, frizzy hair, reminiscent of cotton candy. Hidden within the voluminous curls, colorful objects like paper cranes add a quirky and bubbly charm unique to teenage romance. The caption, "Just you wait, I'm about to make my real confession!" spikes curiosity about whether Se-ri will succeed in her lifelong crush confession after straightening her hair.
