
The 13th Busan International Comedy Festival (BICF) is set to dazzle audiences with its grand opening at the BEXCO Auditorium.
On the evening of August 29th, at 7 PM, the BEXCO Auditorium in Busan will host the opening of the 13th Busan International Comedy Festival. Park Myung-soo, known for his unmatched wit, will take the stage as the main MC, promising a delightful opening. He is set to kick off Asia's largest comedy festival alongside renowned comedians from both Korea and abroad.
The 13th 'Busan International Comedy Festival' opening ceremony moves indoors from its previous outdoor venue, offering a more comfortable and immersive performance environment. Held at the BEXCO Auditorium, this year's opening ceremony aims to elevate the scale and quality of the event, solidifying its status as a world-class comedy festival.
The celebration will feature a dynamic stage by popular comedian and creator RalRal's alter ego, '58-year-old landlord Lee Myung-hwa,' promising an energetic trot music performance that will engage the audience. This will be followed by a special opening performance by the team from 'Gag Concert,' a symbolic program of South Korean comedy, heating up the venue.
Additionally, the 'Busan International Comedy Festival' blue carpet event is not to be missed. Before the main opening ceremony, the blue carpet event offers a unique opportunity for close interaction between the audience and stars. It will feature top South Korean comedians, international comedians from nine countries, and popular YouTube creators, totaling over 100 famous comedians from home and abroad. Comedian Kim Dong-ha will host the blue carpet event, bringing an energetic atmosphere to the scene.
The gala show will preview the festival's fun with a variety of performances. International performance team 'Bunk Puppets' and media performance team 'Vivid Crew' will participate, promising laughter to those attending the opening ceremony. Additionally, singer Yoon Soo-il will join, offering a special moment where world-class performances and domestic comedy come together.
Meanwhile, the 13th 'Busan International Comedy Festival' will take place across Busan from August 29th (Friday) to September 7th (Sunday), spanning ten days. Tickets for the performances are currently available for reservation through NOL Interpark Tickets.
