CNBLUE Kang Min Hyuk Transforms Into a Special Commentator for Lee Jung-hoo's MLB Game on August 9
Kang Min-hyuk Lee Jung-hooCNBLUE member and actor Kang Min Hyuk is set to make a special appearance as a Major League Baseball (MLB) commentator.

On the upcoming Saturday, at 11:15 AM, Kang Min Hyuk will join the broadcast team for the 2025 MLB game between Washington and San Francisco, featuring the anticipated performance of Lee Jung-hoo. He will be teaming up with SPOTV's caster Son Sang-hyuk and commentator Han Seung-hoon.

A longtime baseball enthusiast, Kang Min Hyuk expressed his excitement, "Baseball has been my favorite sport since childhood, more than any other sport. It's truly an honor to be a special commentator for an MLB game."

Kang Min Hyuk, a fan of the KIA Tigers in the KBO and the LA Dodgers in the MLB, shared, "I naturally became a fan of the KIA Tigers following my father. Watching the performances of Park Chan-ho, Kim Byung-hyun, and Choi Hee-seop in the MLB made me fond of teams with Korean players. Also, since Ryu Hyun-jin, who used CNBLUE's song as his entrance music, played for the Dodgers, I had no choice but to root for them," revealing his deep affection for baseball across both leagues.

When asked about his most memorable MLB moments, Kang Min Hyuk mentioned, "The moment in 2001 when Kim Byung-hyun won the World Series ring with Arizona, the home run race between Sammy Sosa and Mark McGwire in 1998, and every pitch thrown by Park Chan-ho of the LA Dodgers."

Kang Min Hyuk's love for MLB isn't limited to Korean players. "It's impossible not to admire Ohtani Shohei, who has captivated everyone's attention. I also admired Derek Jeter for his high baseball IQ and being more than a five-tool player, and Mark McGwire, who seemed to hit a home run every time I watched him," he added.

Kang Min Hyuk, who has showcased his diverse talents as a band drummer, actor, and now as an MC for MLB Korea, said, "Taking on the role of MC has reintroduced me to players I had forgotten and brought me up to speed with the latest MLB trends. I believe KBO fans who love baseball will also enjoy MLB. The unique characteristics of each team's stadium and the fast-paced games are captivating. Additionally, the bold trade market, aimed at either winning championships or rebuilding, adds another layer of excitement to watching MLB," sharing the unique joys of MLB he has discovered.

"It's an honor to spend such valuable time together. Though I may lack in some areas, I hope to convey the fun of baseball that everyone can enjoy," Kang Min Hyuk said, addressing baseball fans.

Meanwhile, Lee Jung-hoo, who had a strong performance in last weekend's series against the New York Mets, is set to face Washington at Oracle Park this weekend after a midweek series in Pittsburgh. Having shown great batting form in the first series of August, all eyes are on what records Lee Jung-hoo will set this week. Notably, in his career against Washington, Lee Jung-hoo has hit safely in all five games, including three multi-hit games. Whether he can continue this streak in the game on Saturday, with Kang Min Hyuk as a special commentator, remains a key point of interest.
