During the recent filming of episode 12 of the SBS Life entertainment program 'Queen of Taste Kim Nam-joo', Kim Nam-joo introduced her home kitchen, saying, "There's not much to show. It's compact. Having an island is a dream. The cooking space is so tight that we use the dining table like an island."
When the production team candidly remarked, "It is indeed tight," Kim Nam-joo playfully retorted, "I've been living and eating here for 20 years," and shared a surprising secret to their marital bliss, "It's because it's tight! Being so close has brought us closer together..." which elicited laughter.
Kim Nam-joo added, "When we built this house 20 years ago, people asked if it was a mansion. Now, they say it's modest and homey," she said with a playful pout, once again drawing laughter.
Kim Nam-joo also revealed the nickname her husband uses for her. When 'Pearl' (jinju) came up as a suggested subscriber nickname, she shared, "Pearl is what my husband calls me every day." She continued, revealing that her name is saved as 'Pearl' in Kim Seung-woo's phone, "He says it's because I'm precious and a gem to him, but the truth is, he didn't want to get caught by others before we got married by having 'Nam-joo' saved, so he kept it that way."
In addition to Kim Nam-joo's real diet food and kitchen gadgets, episode 12 of 'Queen of Taste Kim Nam-joo' airs Thursday at 8:40 PM. Ahead of the broadcast, the same content will be available on Kim Nam-joo's YouTube channel at 11:45 AM the same day.
