Jenna Ortega and director Tim Burton, the leading figures of the 'Wednesday' series, displayed a cool response to Season 2 not securing the top spot in Korea.

During a press conference in Seoul for Netflix's 'Wednesday' Season 2, held on the morning of the 11th at a hotel in Gwanghwamun, Jenna Ortega addressed the fact that 'Wednesday' Season 2 Part 1, released on the 6th, ranked second in Korea alone, saying, "Personally, I don't like viewing art as a competition. I was just happy to be a part of this project. I'm from California, and 'Wednesday' had many Californians involved. I'm simply grateful that viewers worldwide watch our content, and I love sharing our work with audiences globally."

She added, "Season 2 Part 1 has been released, and Part 2 is coming soon. Part 2 will focus on Enid, a character who loves Korean culture, so there will be Korean songs featured. I hope you'll watch it."

Director Tim Burton, who helmed the series, also expressed, "I'm thrilled and happy with the success of Season 1. We never anticipated such global success while making it. Having experienced both successes and failures in my career, this success is truly gratifying. People have diverse tastes, and I respect that."

'Wednesday' Season 2 follows Wednesday Addams as she returns to Nevermore Academy for a new term, facing even stranger and more chilling mysteries, and uncovering the truth behind them. 'Wednesday' has become a global phenomenon, ranking first in Netflix's global TOP 10 TV (English) category, with over 1.7 billion hours viewed.

Returning with Season 2, 'Wednesday' released Part 1 on the 6th and will premiere Part 2 on September 3rd.
