Yi Do, a social studies lecturer who appeared on the Netflix dating show 'Better Late than Single', has opened up about the health issues that led to a hiatus from teaching and shared her thoughts on her return.

On the 11th, Yi Do took to her social media to say, "Due to health reasons, I had to take a long break, and I'm sorry for not being able to update you often. Through the TCC video, I've shared my current health status, recent updates, and future plans." She continued, "I'll work hard to show a good side of myself to the students who have waited and to all the new people who have come to find me."

In the video, Yi Do revealed, "Last year, I continued to teach while getting IV drips, but my corneal health deteriorated rapidly to the point where I couldn't look at a monitor for even a second. I was warned by a doctor that I could go blind if it continued." Despite the hospital's advice, she pushed himself to keep her promises to her students, continuing to lecture and write textbooks until she could hardly see. "It was terrifying, and mentally very challenging," Yi Do shared about her experience at the time.

Yi Do is now in the recovery phase, having regained enough health to resume daily activities and filming.

'Better Late than Single' wrapped up filming last September, and Yi Do's hiatus from teaching was unrelated to the show.

"Although ther year's curriculum was halted, I'm still continuing my research for the students facing the September mock exams. I'll find a way to share the analysis content in some form," she said. She added, "I plan to keep my promise to the students through e-books or videos in various formats."

Park Ji-yeon, another participant from 'Better Late than Single', commented on Yi Do's post, saying, "Sis, don't get sick anymore," showing her support.

Meanwhile, Yi Do is a social studies lecturer affiliated with Etoos, known as the youngest college entrance exam lecturer at Etoos and the only integrated social sciences major from Seoul National University. The dating show 'Better Late than Single', in which she recently appeared, has made it into the global top 10 (non-English TV category), continuing its success.
