Lee Kyung-sil and Jo Hye-ryun discussed themes of downfall and paradise on the YouTube show 'New Women,' (literal translation) which was released on the 12th.

Lee Kyung-sil reminisced about her toughest period, bringing up her divorce. She said, "At thirty-eight, I thought my life was over. Everything seemed to be collapsing."

What made Lee Kyung-sil's situation worse were the rumors that spread after her divorce. She revealed, "After the divorce, there were rumors that never existed during my marriage. Rumors that I was involved in that way with an entertainment company's CEO and that I bought luxury goods with a corporate card he gave me. I once cried my heart out to a journalist trying to verify the facts, saying I never even received a points card from my ex-husband."

Lee Kyung-sil humorously brushed it off, "At least they linked me with rich people, so thanks for that," and sharply added, "Mind your own business."

Jo Hye-ryun shared an even more shocking rumor. She said, "There were rumors that I was a pimp," and "A friend of mine had to go around clarifying, 'She's absolutely not that kind of person.'" Jo Hye-ryun mentioned she overcame these tough times by focusing her energy on studying languages or other activities, laughing it off coolly. Lee Kyung-sil added, "Jo Hye-ryun lives her life so busily that she hardly listens to what others say."

Jo Hye-ryun also candidly shared her experiences of starting anew in Japan during her heyday, the humiliation she faced, her attempts at serious acting, and the disillusionment she felt after achieving it. She openly expressed her regrets about leaving 'Infinite Challenge's predecessor, 'Rash Challenge' (literal translation).

Lee Kyung-sil stated, "When faced with difficulties, dwelling on the past won't help. It's true that good things come after overcoming hardships. I want to praise myself for not being swayed and overcoming these tough times." Jo Hye-ryun added, "I'm grateful to my parents for giving birth to me as someone who can bring laughter to people."

'New Women' is a podcast-style YouTube content featuring Lee Kyung-sil and Jo Hye-ryun. Comedian Lee Sun-min also participates as an MC, representing the younger generation's perspective. 'New Women' by Lee Kyung-sil and Jo Hye-ryun is released biweekly on Wednesday afternoons on the YouTube channel 'Rolling Thunder.'
