Actor Yoo Seung-ho has donated his entire YouTube appearance fee to support cat protection efforts, spreading some much-needed good vibes.

Yoo recently guested on veterinarian and cat-behavior expert Dr. Kim Myung-chul’s YouTube channel, where he opened up about life as a 12-year “cat dad.” He shared candid stories about his cats, Simba and Gaeul, winning over viewers with his sincerity.

Throughout the episode, Yoo couldn’t hide his love for cats. “If I could ask for just one thing, I wish they could tell me, ‘I’m not feeling well,’ when something’s wrong,” he said, sounding every bit the devoted pet parent. He also dove into tips on feline wellness and play, eagerly taking part and asking questions.

The warmest moment came when it was revealed he’s donating all proceeds from the appearance. Yoo said he hopes the funds will be used in a variety of ways to protect cats. “My dream is to help as many cats as possible live safely and with dignity,” he added, showing his bona fide cat-lover side.

Earlier, Yoo made headlines for donating two tons of cat food to a shelter for stray cats. The animal-rights group “Ray at Home” wrote on its official social media, “Thanks to gifts from actor Yoo Seung-ho and a pet-food brand, our cats can get through the sweltering summer with full bellies,” sharing their gratitude.

Yoo is also known for years of hands-on volunteer work for stray cats. He’s driven himself―no manager in tow―to visit shelters, and has stepped up to support medical care and champion adoptions, earning praise as word spread.

In a 2023 interview on JTBC’s “Newsroom,” he shared his long-term goal: “I want to save as much as I can through acting and eventually run an animal shelter.” And when he completed his military service in 2014, he got teary as he said, “The ones I miss most are my parents and our two cats,” revealing just how deep his affection runs.
