'Star Audition : The Great Birth' Yang Jung-mo Returns After 6 Years with Uplifting Single 'Run'
Yang Jung-mo
Singer Yang Jung-mo is ending a six-year hiatus with new music. First introduced to the public on MBC's "Star Audition: The Great Birth" in 2011, he returns to the stage at noon KST on Aug. 24 with his digital single "Run."

His new track "Run" bottles the restless energy of breaking out of the daily grind and sprinting toward dreams and passion.

Like tossing your heart into a blue sky, it nudges stalled time back into motion and swaps fear for courage. A bright, driving melody aims to shake awake the ambition you’ve kept tucked away.

Born in 1983, Yang was spotlighted by Boohwal guitarist Kim Tae-won on "Star Audition: The Great Birth" and, alongside fellow contestants Son Jin-young and Lee Tae-kwon, dominated the stage throughout the season. In 2019, he reunited with Son and Lee for the digital single "If.. I..," underscoring their tight bond. He has also performed as one half of the vocal duo Zan Zan, taking on a variety of projects.

On releasing music after years away, Yang says, "It feels like time that had stopped has started to flow again. I hope this song can be a small boost for anyone feeling worn out."

After six years, Yang is back. Now it’s time to see if his voice once again strikes a chord with listeners.
