"Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Movie: Infinity Castle" blasted past 2 million admissions in South Korea just five days after opening, marking the fastest sprint to the milestone of any 2025 release.
According to the Korean Film Council’s box-office database, the film hit 2 million cumulative admissions by 7 p.m. on the 26th (local time). That pace outstripped “My Daughter Is a Zombie” (six days), “Mickey 17” (10 days) and “Mission: Impossible: The Final Reckoning” (12 days), making it the quickest to reach the benchmark this year. It’s also on track to overtake the 2.22 million admissions posted by its predecessor, “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Movie: Infinity Castle,” later this week.
Based on Gotouge Koyoharu’s manga, which has over 220 million copies in circulation, the franchise follows Kamado Tanjiro, who joins the Demon Slayer Corps after demons slaughter his family, determined to find a cure for his sister Nezuko, who’s been turned into a demon. Infinity Castle adapts the first chapter of a planned three-part finale, teeing up the series’ climactic endgame.
