Premiering in early October, SBS’s new on-the-road reality talk show “Manager Seojin” ditches the studio for candid, in-the-field care. The duo’s famously “fussy” service aims to disarm guests and reveal the unguarded moments only a real manager sees. Producers tease “a fresh format that moves between observation, care, and whispered confessions.”
As the titular “Biseo” (manager) team, variety veterans Lee and Kim bring contrasting styles, sharing each star’s day while delivering meticulous support and off-the-cuff banter.
Long dubbed entertainment’s ultimate multi-hyphenate, Lee pairs an NYU business degree, a past stint heading an asset management firm, and a watercraft license with 26 years of acting and sharp empathy. Already crowned a “caretaking ace” on travel-variety hits, his detail-oriented touch is expected to shine on “Manager Seojin.”
His partner-in-crime, Kim Kwang-kyu, is a boots-on-the-ground type who’s done it all ― nightclub waiter, salesman, even taxi driver. Armed with easygoing charm and road-warrior instincts, he’s poised to be the show’s go-to “pro driver-manager.” Their everyday-life chemistry is set to be a major draw.
First up in the passenger seat is Lee Soo-ji, one of 2025’s hottest variety breakouts. From power-tool influencer bits to Daechi-dong mom sketches and her rapper alter ego “Hambugi,” she’s been everywhere ― and fans are eager to see what new sides she’ll show on “Manager Seojin.”
“Manager Seojin,” the hands-on, on-the-road reality talk show where Lee Seo-jin and Kim Kwang-kyu play one-day managers to get an unfiltered look at star life, premieres in early October on SBS.
