Lim Young-woong’s "IM HERO 2" listening event powered its way to No. 2 at the Korean box office―despite playing for just one day.
According to the Korean Film Council’s box office tracker, the one-night-only program on Aug. 28 drew 49,967 moviegoers nationwide.
Staged to celebrate the release of Lim’s second full-length album, "IM HERO 2", the special screening rolled out across roughly 50 CGV theaters and effectively filled about 50,000 seats―another show of the singer’s formidable ticket power.
Holding the top spot was "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Movie: Infinity Castle", which attracted 118,651 viewers the same day and has accumulated 2,353,254 admissions to date.
