During the Aug. 18 recording, Kim shared the news the minute cameras started rolling. The cast first joked it had to be a Turbo 30th-anniversary gag or a wedding-themed special, but his rare bout of shyness gave it away. Yoo Jae-suk laughed, “If I’d known, I would’ve teased you more!” ― classic Yoo mischief on full display.
Kim also aimed a playful jab at HAHA ― who once told Kim about his own wedding way too late ― quipping, “Your future sister-in-law likes you the least.”
The surprise sent fans back down the "Running Man" rabbit hole, reviving past Kim-centric moments: Yoo’s famously “reckless” promise about what he’d wear to Kim’s wedding, Kim turning into the show’s so-called “bag guy” while prepping a move ― prompting jokes that he’d “never get married at this rate” ― and even a housewarming episode where his keen eye for interiors now reads like newlywed prep.
On Aug. 18, Kim also posted a handwritten letter that read, “I’m getting married.” The ceremony will be private with his non-celebrity bride, attended by family and close friends. His in-person reveal to the "Running Man" team airs Sunday at 6 p.m. KST on SBS.
