Singer Lee Seung-hwan has made it official: he’ll perform under the Lee Seung-hwan Band name through November, then close the book on the project.
In a social media post, he called it “a decision years in the making.” Since his 1989 debut, the veteran performer has spent nearly 35 years onstage; he’ll keep the band banner flying until November, then retire it.

The Lee Seung-hwan Band’s nationwide HEAVEN tour, which kicked off last November, will wrap with a final stop in Mokpo this September.
Last August, the group hosted a “final fan meeting,” an official farewell that doubled as a heartfelt thank-you to longtime supporters.

Lee also drew the curtain on his self-produced charity concert series "Let’s Live Kindly" (literal title) on Oct. 19 last year, capping its 20th edition. Launched in 2001, the long-running benefit funneled 100% of proceeds to the Korea Childhood Leukemia Foundation, helping fund pediatric cancer treatment, counseling and social programs. Together with fans, cumulative donations topped 1.3 billion won.
