ZEROBASEONE says talks over a potential contract renewal are still underway and nothing has been finalized.

The nine-member act ― ZEROBASEONE ― hosted a media showcase for their first full-length album, “NEVER SAY NEVER,” on Sept. 1 at Blue Square SOL Travel Hall in Yongsan, Seoul.

Asked about their future, leader Sung Hanbin said, “We’re having as many conversations and meetings as we can to find the best path forward. Nothing has been decided yet.” He added, “What matters most right now is sharing a meaningful first studio album with the public and our fans. We want to finish this promotion healthy and happy and keep growing from here.”

Park Gunwook emphasized, “All nine of us cherish ZEROBASEONE. We’re one team and we’re close as people, too. Fans will continue to see all nine of us laughing and joking together.”

Han Yujin added, “We’re talking a lot with an open mind. I think we’ll make the best choice in the direction our fans want ― but nothing’s set yet.”

Formed through Mnet’s survival series "Boys Planet," ZEROBASEONE debuted in July 2023. All five of their releases have cleared a million in first-week sales, and they’ve also entered the Billboard 200. Under their initial 2½-year agreement, if a renewal isn’t reached, official group activities would conclude in January 2026.

With eyes on what’s next, ZEROBASEONE’s first studio album, “NEVER SAY NEVER,” drops on major streaming platforms at 6 p.m. KST on Sept. 1.
