Actress Kim Sung-eun broke down in happy tears after learning that her personal YouTube channel―suddenly deleted days earlier―had been restored.
On Sept. 3, she posted a video on social media sharing the moment. In the clip, she’s on the phone with her channel manager, exclaiming, “My YouTube is back!” “I’m showing up on my husband’s YouTube!” “I just logged in and I’m there―go check!” and then, “What is happening? This is amazing,” before tearing up. Her daughter rushes in to hug her and celebrate.
She added in an Instagram caption, “Sharing some good news: my ‘Happy Kim Sung-eun’ YouTube channel has finally been restored.” She explained that the channel had vanished without warning a few days earlier. “I was heartbroken, and when it didn’t come back, I told myself I’d start over. Then, in the middle of dinner tonight, a YouTube notification popped up―and that’s how I found out the channel was back. I’m so happy I still can’t believe it.”
“To everyone―my ‘Bbibbi’ community―thank you for waiting,” she continued. “This made me realize just how precious the channel is. I’ll repay you with better videos and content.”
Kim first told fans on Aug. 26 that the channel had been abruptly taken down, noting that she and her production team immediately filed an appeal.
At the time, visitors saw the notice: “This account has been terminated for violating YouTube’s Terms of Service.” Kim launched “Happy Kim Sung-eun” in February 2024, and the channel currently has around 70,000 subscribers.
Kim married soccer star Jung Jo-gook in December 2009. They share three children―one son and two daughters.
