On the Sept. 3 broadcast of MBC every1’s "Show Champion," the singer paired “Haeng-ro” with a full-band sound, riding crisp, soaring high notes and rock-solid live vocals. With relaxed, confident gestures, he owned the stage―and in the climax, he locked into the rising arrangement with a focus that made it hard to believe this was the song’s first TV performance. Social media quickly lit up with praise, calling him a “vocal master” and noting the rare combo of heartthrob visuals and powerhouse pipes, plus “concert-level” execution.
His ringing upper register and effortless stagecraft were standouts. He moved freely, fed off the crowd, and showcased the live chops he’s honed through busking―now leveled up on national TV.
“Haeng-ro” was written, composed, and produced by Bang Yong-guk, adding a refined touch to the track. Over a bright, driving melody, lyrics like “In this frozen time… rise again” and “Amid countless footprints… let’s leave our own” offer comfort and hope to anyone charting their path. Ahead of the release, Jung Daehyun teased the song with a surprise busking set in Hongdae, serving steady live vocals and laid-back emotion.
Following "Show Champion," Jung Daehyun will continue promotions on Mnet’s "M Countdown" (Thursday, Sept. 4), KBS2’s "Music Bank" (Friday, Sept. 5), and SBS’s "Inkigayo" (Sunday, Sept. 7), bringing more “Haeng-ro” stages to music shows throughout the week.
MA Entertainment shared in a statement, “‘Haeng-ro’ is the track that best marries Jung Daehyun’s vocals with his free-spirited performance. He’s ready to put all the skills he’s built over the years on full display. Expect more music shows and live performances as we share the song’s message―please look forward to it and send your support.”
Jung Daehyun’s third single album, "Haeng-ro," includes three tracks: the title song, a Japanese version, and an instrumental. It’s available now on all major streaming platforms.
