Actor Yoon Jin-seo took home Best Actress at the 2025 Seoul Webfest for her performance in the film 'Steely Lovers'.
At the 11th Seoul Webfest (SEOULWEBFEST) awards on Sept. 3, Yoon won Best Actress for the Choi Jong-gu-directed feature 'Steely Lovers.'
Now in its 11th year, Seoul Webfest has grown into a global showcase for web-first series and digital storytelling, positioning itself as a hub for exporting Korean content to the world.
'Steely Lovers' is a romantic thriller about a man with a spinal cord injury and a blind massage therapist whose tender love is tested as they fight to escape a crew scheming to snatch a massive inheritance.
The film drew notice as the only Korean feature in competition at the 7th Hanoi International Film Festival (HANIFF) in 2024, and it has earned recognition across more than 10 festivals worldwide with prizes including Best Picture, Best Actress and Critics' Awards.

In the film, Yoon plays Kang-hee, a blind massage therapist who stares down danger to protect the person she loves, delivering steely resolve and layered emotion.
Accepting the award, Yoon said, "My endless thanks to our director, who stood by me, and to the crew who saw a tough shoot through to the end. Because of you, I want to walk into the next set a little stronger ― and be someone others can lean on." She continued, "It wasn’t easy, but our shared love of cinema kept us going, and a film was born. 'Steely Lovers' is about people living small, difficult lives who keep going by leaning on one another. I hope our film can be that kind of strength for someone out there."
Yoon made her screen debut in 2001’s 'Bus Stop' and has showcased her versatility in titles like 'Oldboy,' 'All for Love,' and 'Beastie Boys.' She also earned praise for her nuanced turn in the 2022 Netflix series 'A Model Family.'
