Lee Da-in Calls Out MC Mong for Posting Year-Old Group Photo: "It Makes No Sense"
MC Mong
Actress Lee Da-in, wife of singer-actor Lee Seung-gi, publicly pushed back after MC Mong shared a group photo on social media, signaling friction between the stars. The timing also dovetails with chatter about internal turbulence after MC Mong’s split from Big Planet Made.

On Sept. 4, Lee wrote on her account, "Why post a photo that’s more than a year old now and stir things up?" and "I truly can’t understand it." She noted the picture was taken on July 18, 2024, emphasizing it wasn’t recent.

Earlier, MC Mong had uploaded a group shot featuring Lee Seung-gi and Lee Da-in, actress Lee Yu-bi, and P_Arc Group chairman Cha Ga-won. While the image shows a playful, friendly vibe, Lee bristled at the throwback being shared without her consent.

Industry watchers say the flap hints at deeper tensions between MC Mong and leadership at Big Planet Made.

In June, MC Mong stepped down as chief producer of One Hundred Label, effectively bowing out of day-to-day management. He issued a surprise statement citing severe depression and deteriorating health as reasons for scaling back his music activities. Even so, industry buzz has persisted about friction with Chairman Cha Ga-won during their split.

Meanwhile, Lee Seung-gi signed an exclusive deal with Big Planet Made in April 2024, kicking off a new chapter in his career.
