From writer Lee Ha-na and directors Song Hyun-wook and Hwang In-hyuk, the series follows a 90-day sham newlywed arrangement as two strangers team up to hold onto a luxury newlywed apartment giveaway―pairing trusted leading man Choi with rom-com favorite Jung for maximum sparks.
The show premieres Friday, Oct. 10 at 9:50 p.m. KST on SBS, and its newly unveiled teaser poster is an open invite: a miniature house rests atop gently clasped hands beneath the line “Would you marry me?”, instantly piquing curiosity.
In the story, Yu Meri (Jung) wins a high-end newlywed home and proposes a contract marriage to Kim Woo-joo (Choi)―offering a model house instead of a ring. A rosy, sunset-cast shadow amps up the butterflies while spotlighting the series’ key setting―the “newlywed home” the pair must convincingly share and protect for 90 days.
“We styled the teaser as a romantic invite into their newlywed home, capturing Meri’s proposal to Woo-joo as she tries to safeguard the apartment she won,” the producers said. “Watch how Kim Woo-joo―the fourth-generation only son and flawless heir to Myeongsundang, Korea’s first bakery―and Yu Meri, a paycheck-to-paycheck designer reeling from a broken engagement and a rental scam, strike a pact. Will their 90-day charade go smoothly? Expect equal parts sweet and sharp in this high-stakes newlywed rom-com.”
