Goalkeeper Kim Young-kwang Named FC Bulnabi Head Coach on 'Kick a Goal': "We're Going to Win It All"
Kick a GoalFormer South Korea national team goalkeeper Kim Young-kwang is making his head-coaching debut on "Kick a Goal".

The Sept. 10 episode of SBS’ "Kick a Goal" unveils the second matchup of the GIFA Cup, pitting the newly formed legends’ squad Phoenix Utd against a revamped FC Bulnabi in a pride-on-the-line showdown.

All eyes are on the captains: Park Sun-young and Ahn Hye-kyung. The two once shared a locker room on FC Bulnabi as captain and the team’s youngest, but now they face off as rival skippers.

On game day, their warm reunion instantly turned competitive, with tensions heating up on the pitch. “That was then―today, let’s see if you can even score on me,” Ahn fired back confidently. Which captain gets the last laugh?

Taking the reins at FC Bulnabi is newly appointed head coach Kim Young-kwang. After years mentoring "Kick a Goal" keepers―including Ahn Hye-kyung, Heo Kyung-hee, Lisa and Jin Jung-sun―he finally steps onto the touchline as a full-time manager.

His first test, however, is a tough one: veteran tactician Choi Jin-cheul, who led FC Bulnabi in the previous G League and holds the show’s all-time appearance record. Can the rookie boss outmaneuver a seasoned mastermind?

Chasing that first win, Kim rolls the dice with a daring tactical shake-up―flipping defensive anchor Lee Seung-yeon with former G League Golden Boot striker Kang Bo-ram. He drops ace Kang into the back line to spark build-up play and late surges, while pushing Lee up top to press hard and pull the trigger. Will the gamble ignite a new rise for FC Bulnabi?

Catch FC Bulnabi’s new era under Kim―and his promise to “bring home the trophy”―on Wednesday, Sept. 10 at 9 p.m. on "Kick a Goal".
