Han So-hee and Jeon Jong-seo’s new film "Project Y" has sold out its screenings at the 30th Busan International Film Festival.

Even before release, the crime thriller drew heat on star power alone, assembling a stacked cast that includes Han So-hee, Jeon Jong-seo, Kim Shin-rok, Jung Young-ju, Lee Jae-kyun, YOOA and Kim Sung-cheol. After scoring an invite to the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF), the film continues its festival streak in Busan, with the director and key cast confirming on-site appearances.

The "Project Y" team will attend the opening ceremony at the Busan Cinema Center’s BIFF Outdoor Stage on Wednesday, Sept. 17. Director Lee Hwan will be joined by leads Han So-hee and Jeon Jong-seo. On Thursday, Sept. 18 at 11:30 a.m., Lee and cast members Han So-hee, Jeon Jong-seo, Kim Sung-cheol, Jung Young-ju, Lee Jae-kyun and YOOA will take part in an Open Talk at the same outdoor stage.

Later that day, the first screening will be held at 1:20 p.m. at CGV Centum City, followed by an in-depth Q&A with the director and cast. A second screening is set for Friday, Sept. 19 at 12:30 p.m. at Lotte Cinema Centum City, with talent meeting audiences afterward.

"Project Y" follows Mi-seon and Do-kyung―two lovers with nothing but each other―who hatch a dangerous plan to swipe a cache of dirty cash and gold bars to claw their way out of rock bottom. Han So-hee and Jeon Jong-seo topline the film, directed by Lee Hwan, who broke out with Park Hwa-young.

Officially invited to BIFF’s Korean Cinema Today - Special Premiere section, "Project Y" will premiere at the festival ahead of its domestic release.
