HOSHI of SEVENTEEN, 29, is set to begin his mandatory military service on Sept. 16, and actor Lee Soo-hyuk just gave fans a first look at the idol’s buzz cut while sending him off with a heartfelt message on Instagram.
Two days before enlistment, on Sept. 14, Lee shared a photo of HOSHI’s freshly shaved hair with a note of encouragement, telling him he knew he’d do great and to stay safe and healthy.
Lee added that plenty of content has been prepared to keep fans company while HOSHI serves, sharing that they hadn’t had many chances to meet lately because of it.
He then closed it with a warm “Come back safely.”
Despite a nine-year age gap as well as being in different fields, HOSHI and Lee maintain a close friendship.
HOSHI will enter a training center on Sept. 16 for basic training before serving as an active-duty Army soldier. With WOOZI enlisting on Sept. 15 and HOSHI following, SEVENTEEN will continue activities as a nine-member unit while some members complete their service.
