Actor Jung Woo-sung returned to the spotlight roughly a year after his scandal.
On Sept. 18, Jung attended the 33rd Buil Film Awards at the Signiel Busan Grand Ballroom. As last year’s Best Actor winner, he took part in the ceremony’s traditional handprint event and, this year, stepped onstage as a presenter for Best Actor and Best Actress.
Looking noticeably slimmer as he posed on the photo wall, Jung said, “It’s always a joy when the Busan International Film Festival and the Buil Film Awards come around. It’s an honor to be here again after winning last year. I only wish I had a film out this year.”

Presenting alongside actor Kim Geum-soon, Jung handed out this year’s top acting prizes. “It’s been a year since I won, and being on a film festival stage never stops making me nervous,” he shared. “I hope that flutter stays with me until the day I retire.”
He then presented Best Actor to Lee Byung-hun for "The Match" and Best Actress to Kim Go-eun for "Love in the Big City."
Last year, Jung made headlines when he acknowledged, via his agency Artist Company, that he is the father of model Moon Ga-bi’s son, adding, “I will fulfill my responsibilities as a father to the very end.” He also drew attention last month for registering his marriage to his longtime girlfriend, identified only as “A.”
This marked his first official public event in about 10 months, following his appearance at the 45th Blue Dragon Film Awards last November.
Jung has wrapped filming on his next project, the Disney+ series "Made in Korea," which is expected to premiere in December.
