"Tempest" follows Moon-ju (Jun Ji-hyun), a renowned UN ambassador, as she hunts the mastermind behind an attack on a presidential candidate. By her side is San-ho (Gang Dong-won), a mysterious special agent with no clear allegiance, as the pair confront a truth big enough to shake the Korean Peninsula. On Sept. 22, the production shared new set photos brimming with easy smiles and serious dedication from the cast.
The shots spotlight a set buzzing with laughter and focus―worlds away from the show’s razor-wire tension. The much-talked-about train sequence, which had viewers raving over Jun and Gang’s crackling chemistry, looks just as warm behind the camera. Gang also dives headfirst into the action, fully immersed in character as he delivers sleek, high-impact stunt work.

Adding to the mix, John Cho’s steady, principled presence amps up the stakes, while Lee Mi-sook (as Im Ok-seon) and Kim Hae-sook (as Chae Kyung-shin) flip the script on their fierce on-screen personas with bright, disarming smiles between takes.
The blend of heart and hustle on set only heightens anticipation for the show’s can’t-look-away twists and powerhouse performances.
"Tempest" drops Episodes 6 and 7 on the 24th, with two new episodes each week, for a nine-episode run total.
