Model-turned-actor Bae Jung-nam, 42, has said a heartbreaking goodbye to his dog Belle, a 12-year-old Doberman Pinscher.
On Sept. 29, Bae shared that his beloved companion had passed, writing, “My precious girl Belle has become a star in the sky.” He explained that after enduring grueling rehab and surgery, Belle had been fighting hard, but she suddenly collapsed from a heart attack and passed away.
“Don’t hurt anymore―run free up there. Thank you for coming into my life. Daddy loves you so much,” he added.
Bae adopted Belle 12 years ago after meeting a puppy born to a friend’s dog and feeling an instant connection―like he was looking at himself.
Belle’s health struggles were well documented: in 2022, an acute disc issue left her paralyzed and she stayed at a pet care center. She later battled heart disease and, in April, underwent surgery to remove a malignant tumor.
Calling Belle his family and “No. 1 treasure,” Bae also thanked everyone who rooted for her: “To everyone who showed love, encouragement, and support for our sweet, gentle Belle―thank you from the bottom of my heart.”
