Choi Woo Shik & Jung So Min Are Ready to Fake It ― and Make Us Swoon ― in 'Would You Marry Me'
Woo-joo, Marry MeChoi Woo Shik and Jung So Min are primed to charm in SBS’s new Friday-Saturday rom-com "Would You Marry Me", serving up plenty of adorable chemistry from the jump.

Premiering Friday, Oct. 10, the series follows a man and woman who enter a 90-day sham marriage to hold onto the ultimate newlywed prize: a luxury apartment. With fan-favorite leads Choi Woo Shik (as Kim Woo-joo) and rom-com sure bet Jung So Min (as Yoo Meri) teaming up, expectations are high for razor-sharp comedic timing and heartfelt romance.

Choi has cemented his status as a go-to leading man with "Our Beloved Summer," "Parasite," and "The Witch," showing off a playful charm and refined rom-com instincts that earned him “prince of rom-coms” cred.

Here, he transforms into Kim Woo-joo, the picture-perfect fourth-generation heir to Myeongsundang ― billed as Korea’s first-ever bakery with 80 years of history ― promising a fresh spin on the classic chaebol heartthrob.

Jung So Min, long hailed as a rom-com ace, has kept busy across genres, recently scoring hits with the drama "Love Next Door" and the film "Love Reset." She also took home Best Actress at the 44th Golden Cinematography Awards for 30 Days, underscoring her star power ― and she’s set to dial up the lovable factor again here.

Jung plays Yoo Meri, a bride-to-be who gets hit with a one-two punch ― a broken engagement and a housing deposit scam ― and, when her coveted newlywed apartment is suddenly on the line, launches a search for a fake husband. From sly comedic beats to sweet, slow-burn romance, she’s poised to carry it all with ease.

Most anticipated, though, is the spark between the leads. As Woo-joo and Meri fake it for 90 days to keep their dream home, the pair’s “more real than real” chemistry is set to steal hearts.

The project also taps into SBS’s rom-com pedigree, following the network’s crowd-pleasing hits like "Business Proposal" and "Love Scout." Choi previously delivered a swoony first-love romance with "Our Beloved Summer" on SBS, while Jung returns to the network 15 years after her debut in "Bad Guy" ― a reunion that has fans buzzing about the synergy to come.

One week out, a special preview, "Would You Marry Me Special," airs Friday, Oct. 3 at 8:20 p.m., offering an early taste of the fun. According to the production team, the special is packed with highlights ― from Choi and Jung’s faux newlywed chemistry and lively cast interviews to set footage and laugh-out-loud bloopers.

"Would You Marry Me" premieres Friday, Oct. 10 at 9:50 p.m.
