Choi Woo-shik & Jung So-min Tease Off-the-Charts Chemistry, Want a Reunion After 'Would You Marry Me'
Choi Woo-shik and Jung So-minAt a press conference at SBS headquarters in Seoul on Oct. 10, Choi Woo-shik and Jung So-min said their onscreen spark in the new series "Would You Marry Me" was so strong, they’re already eyeing a reunion.

The event, held ahead of the premiere of SBS’s new Friday-Saturday drama "Would You Marry Me" (written by Lee Hana; directed by Song Hyun-wook and Hwang In-hyuk), turned into a lovefest for the pair’s romance chemistry.

“I’ve worked with so many different actors, but our rhythm just clicked,” Choi shared. “It even made me think, ‘I really want to act with her again.’”

Jung agreed: “When you find this kind of chemistry, it’s a shame to end with just one project. I truly hope we meet again on another.”

"Would You Marry Me" follows two strangers who enter a 90-day sham newlywed arrangement to lock down a luxe newlywed home giveaway―only to catch real feelings along the way. Choi plays Kim Woo-joo, the fourth-generation heir to Korea’s pioneering bakery Myeongsundang, while Jung stars as Yoo Me-ri, the head of Me-ri Design who’s reeling from a broken engagement and a newlywed-apartment scam―pushing this bride-to-be to the brink.

Their chemistry carried over between takes, too. “Before the director called ‘cut,’ we’d keep riffing―filling in moments with ideas we hadn’t planned,” Choi recalled. “Woo-joo and Me-ri’s rhythm fit together like puzzle pieces.”

“Whatever I threw out as an ad-lib, he caught it perfectly,” Jung added. “It let me relax and try anything.”

"Would You Marry Me" premieres tonight, Oct. 10, at 9:50 p.m. KST on SBS.
