'The Glory' Jung Sung-il Divorces After 9 Years in Amicable, No-Fault Split
Jung Sung-ilActor Jung Sung-il has finalized his divorce after nine years of marriage.

On Jan. 14, his agency XYZ Studio confirmed the split, saying the decision came after long and careful consideration by both parties.

Although their legal ties have been dissolved, the agency noted that the two support each other and remain devoted co-parents to their child. It also emphasized the divorce was a mutual, no-fault agreement, asking media and the public to refrain from speculation or misreporting.

Jung previously shared on a variety show that he dated his non-celebrity wife long-distance for three years before they split, then reconnected when he visited his mother in the hospital―and married three months later. The couple wed in 2016 and share a son.

Debuting in the 2002 film "H," Jung has appeared in the film "The Policeman’s Lineage" and the dramas "The Uncanny Counter" and "Stranger 2." After years under the radar, he broke out in 2022 with Netflix’s "The Glory," playing Ha Do-young, the husband of Park Yeon-jin (portrayed by Lim Ji-yeon).
