Actor Choi Ji-woo is saying goodbye to KBS2’s long-running family reality series "The Return of Superman," concluding her stint as the show’s narrator-host.

At the final taping on the 24th, Choi delivered her trademark warm, empathetic narration. After wrapping with co-hosts Park Soo-hong and Ahn Young-mi, she reflected, “Every shoot day I was excited to see the kids on screen. Over the past 18 months, it felt like we were growing together. I received so many warm laughs and deeply moving moments.”

Choi joined the series in June 2024 for its 11th anniversary. Beyond voiceover work, the later-in-life mom shared candid parenting stories that resonated with viewers, and her gentle tone and genuine affection for the children helped create some of the show’s most heartwarming scenes.

She even stepped in front of the camera for comedian Jang Dong-min’s episode featuring his daughter Ji-woo, doting on the child and drawing buzz. At times, Choi teared up while thinking of her own daughter, which moved audiences.

Up next, Choi is set to return to the big screen with the feature film "Sugar," playing Mira, a working mom who, after her young son Dong-myeong is diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes, fights for him and sparks broader change. She reportedly signed on to help raise awareness for children living with Type 1 diabetes.

With her variety chapter closed for now, anticipation is high to see what fresh emotion Choi Ji-woo will bring to her next acting project.
