On the Oct. 20 episode of SBS' "Same Bed, Different Dreams 2: You Are My Destiny," the veteran broadcaster took on the challenge of getting his cooking license.
Ahead of the exam, Jo asked his daughter and his wife, Jung Da-eun, to taste-test his dishes. His daughter delivered a surprisingly sharp, detailed critique that stole the scene.
When producers asked whose cooking she preferred, Mom or Dad, she didn't hesitate: "Dad, obviously. He's like three times better than Mom," she said, adding that she hopes he keeps handling meals at home.
"I'm all for that," Jung Da-eun laughed. "Having my husband do the cooking is a win for me."
Still, watching him push through―especially while nursing an injury―made Jung worry. She headed to the testing center to cheer him on in person, hoping for the best.
Jo passed on his first try and proudly flashed his Western cuisine license. "Even Hyun-moo and Sang-jin don't have this one―Korea's first anchor-chef is here," he joked. "Producers of 'Culinary Class Wars' and 'Chef & My Fridge,' call me." The panel erupted in applause.
