The film "Chainsaw Man: The Movie - Reze Arc" has leapfrogged "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Movie: Mugen Train" to claim the No. 6 spot among the highest-grossing Japanese animated films in Korea.

According to the Korean Film Council’s box office database, "Chainsaw Man: The Movie - Reze Arc" drew 25,169 admissions nationwide on the 20th, holding the No. 1 position at the box office. Its cumulative total now stands at 2,240,733 tickets sold―edging past 2020’s "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Movie: Mugen Train" (2.22 million) to secure the all-time No. 6 rank for Japanese animation in the market.

The movie has also outpaced the summer Hollywood tentpole "Jurassic World Rebirth," pushing its way into Korea’s overall 2025 Top 10 box office chart.

Based on Tatsuki Fujimoto’s hit manga, "Chainsaw Man: The Movie - Reze Arc" brings one of the series’ most beloved storylines to the big screen. MAPPA handles production with its signature high-gloss animation, while TV series alum Tatsuya Yoshihara returns to the director’s chair to deliver even bigger, tighter, and flashier action set pieces.

The soundtrack continues to fuel the buzz: Yonezu Kenshi―who scored the TV opening theme “KICK BACK”―and Japanese pop icon Utada Hikaru contribute to the soundtrack, with the new tracks topping Korea’s digital charts and extending the film’s momentum.
