Robin Deiana ♥ Kim Seo-yeon Tearfully Share Missed Miscarriage: "We Couldn't Hear a Heartbeat"
Robin DeianaFrench TV personality Robin Deiana and former LPG member Kim Seo-yeon have shared the heartbreaking news of a missed miscarriage.

On Oct. 27, the couple posted a video to their YouTube channel, titled “The Day We Went to Hear the Heartbeat―And Goodbye.”

After recently announcing their pregnancy, Robin and Kim visited the hospital to check on the baby. During the ultrasound, the doctor said, “At this stage, we should be seeing a heartbeat,” noting the development appeared to be lagging.

The doctor added that if a heartbeat isn’t visible at this point, “it’s generally not a good sign,” and recommended setting a follow-up scan and preparing for a D&C.

When Kim asked if something was wrong with her body, the doctor reassured her: “It’s much more likely an issue on the embryo’s side―often chromosomal―than anything to do with Mom.” The couple broke down in tears as they scheduled their next appointment.

Back home that evening, they turned the camera on again. Wiping away tears, Kim said softly, “I’ll let myself be sad for a bit.”

The next day, they tried to clear their heads with a walk with their dog. Kim shared that the doctor explained a missed miscarriage often stems from cellular or chromosomal issues, and that once the uterus clears, a future pregnancy can implant more securely. “A lot of people around me have been through this―and many got pregnant again right away. So we’ll be okay,” she said.

At the end of the video, a message read: “Thank you to everyone who celebrated with us and worried for us. We’ll have one last ultrasound tomorrow, then proceed with surgery. We’re trying to let go. It would be a lie to say we aren’t holding out a little hope, but from everything we’ve read, it seems unlikely―so we’re preparing our hearts. We’ll be back as the bright, cheerful couple so please keep cheering us on.”

Before the video’s release, on Oct. 24, the couple told subscribers they’d take a brief three-day break after failing to hear a heartbeat at an earlier appointment, adding that they would move forward with a D&C if there was no change at a follow-up scan on Tuesday.

Robin and Kim tied the knot in May. The pair previously revealed on YouTube that, despite receiving a subfertility diagnosis during preconception testing, they later conceived naturally―a milestone that drew an outpouring of congratulations.
