On the Oct. 28 episode, the two went head-to-head in a one-on-one showdown.
Before the battle, they snapped photos together, looking so friendly that the show’s 100-member panel asked if they already knew each other.
Lee explained he spotted “Jeremy” on the lineup and wondered if it was the same Jeremy he used to sing with. After checking with a producer, he learned it was. “We were in the same choir about eight years ago,” he said, adding that this was their first time meeting again in roughly five years since their choir days.
The two laughed about how inseparable they were on the way to rehearsals back then―and how each swore he was the better singer.
Jeremy chimed in with some playful confidence, saying that while Ji-hoon had serious chops and musical know-how back then, their tastes have gone in different directions over the last five years―and he was ready to prove it.
The broadcast even rolled a throwback clip from their choir years, showing them holding hands as they sang. The panel cheered, joking the pair were “already a two-top” back then―and that Jeremy just grew taller.
They then revisited their old duet, performing "Golden Star" and earning big applause.
In the end, Lee Ji-hoon advanced to the next round with Park Sang-tae’s "If You Feel the Same as Me," edging out Jeremy, who performed Yoo Jae-ha’s "Gloomy Letter."
