The Kang Ha-neul-and-Cha Eun-woo-led feature "The First Ride" held the No. 1 spot at the Korean box office for the second day in a row.

According to the Korean Film Council’s integrated box-office tracker, the film drew 34,129 admissions on Oct. 30, bringing its cumulative total to 138,062.

It has stayed atop the chart since opening, but day-two turnout dropped sharply. After a strong 80,000 admissions on day one, the film fell by roughly 50,000 the next day. Still, with "The First Ride" currently leading advance ticket sales, the coming weekend will be the real test.

Directed by Nam Dae-joong, "The First Ride" follows five friends who’ve stuck together for 24 years as they finally set off on their first trip abroad: the relentless Tae-jung (Kang Ha-neul), sunny Do-jin (Kim Young-kwang), heartthrob Yeon-min (Cha Eun-woo), the perpetual catnapper Geum-bok (Kang Young-seok), and the lovable Ok-sim (Han Sun-hwa). The result is a chaos-filled buddy comedy packed with culture shocks and laughs.
