Ahn Hyun-mo―broadcast journalist-turned TV host and veteran conference interpreter―is helming key official programs at the APEC CEO Summit Korea 2025 in Gyeongju, drawing praise for her poised, world-class emceeing.
Running Oct. 28-31, the APEC CEO Summit―widely regarded as the flagship business forum alongside APEC Leaders’ Week―has brought global CEOs, heads of state, and top government officials together on a stage where Korea’s tradition and modernity meet. Ahn is serving as the summit’s official host.
At the Oct. 28 welcome dinner at Hwarang Village, she took the mic in a modern hanbok that married artistry with contemporary flair, guiding everything from the opening declaration to performance introductions and congratulatory remarks in fluent English. Attendees lauded how warmly she conveyed Korean hospitality.
On Oct. 29 and 30, she appeared in a serene green two-piece and a beige suit, respectively, steering the sessions with polished English and effortless pacing. Her interpreter’s instincts and refined communication left a strong impression on global leaders.
Her styling is also turning heads. She wore a hanbok by Tchai Kim for the welcome dinner and opted for looks from designer Gee Chun-hee’s Miss Gee Collection for subsequent programs―earning kudos for spotlighting Korean designers at a major international event on home turf. Ahn is slated to close out today’s schedule (Oct. 31) with her signature sharp yet graceful moderation.
