Cube Entertainment rookie boy band NOWZ has been tapped by Billboard as its K-Pop Rookie of the Month, cementing the rebranded group as one of the scene’s breakout newcomers.
Announced Oct. 31 KST on Billboard’s website, the nod spotlights NOWZ’s first mini-album since its rebrand, "IGNITION," and a versatile tracklist that includes “Fly to the Youth (Feat. YUQI),” “EVERGLOW,” and “Problem Child,” along with the group’s polished, high-impact performances.
Praising the EP’s genre range, Billboard highlighted the members’ “rock-solid skills” that let a just-debuted act pull off different styles with ease. The outlet also noted the group is “burning with resolve to prove themselves and shine brighter,” calling out “the power and charm of a team that faithfully executes the K-pop playbook.”
Billboard also shared an exclusive interview capturing NOWZ’s drive and energy. The group said they’re eager to keep experimenting beyond genre lines and collaborate with standout artists to craft fresh concepts and sounds, opening up their musical world to more listeners.
“For now, our goal is to get the name NOWZ out to more people and deliver our sincerity through our music,” the members added.
Up next, NOWZ will hit the stage at the "2025 Color in Music Festival" on Nov. 2 at Paradise City in Incheon, followed by "Waterbomb Macau 2025" on Nov. 8 at the Macau Outdoor Performance Venue―promising a hard-hitting set worthy of a “Next Vibe Rookie” leading K-pop’s next wave.
