Premiering Wednesday, Nov. 12 at 9 p.m. KST on SBS, the series (written by Ha Yoon-a and Tae Kyung-min; directed by Kim Jae-hyun and Kim Hyun-woo) follows a single woman who pretends to be a mom to land a job―and the team manager who unexpectedly falls for her. With Jang Ki-yong (as Gong Ji-hyeok) and Ahn Eun-jin (as Go Da-rim), the show teases a swoony, high-voltage romance that literally starts with a kiss.
Anticipation is high for Jang, a certified romance pro whose deep gaze, warm baritone, and finely tuned emotions have made him a standout in the genre. In “Dynamic Kiss,” he plays a picture-perfect, seemingly icy lead who becomes utterly defenseless in front of the woman he loves.
Why this project? “I worked briefly with director Kim Jae-hyun before, and it left such a good impression that I hoped we’d reunite on something great someday,” Jang says. “Then I read the script for ‘Dynamic Kiss’―and it was a blast. I was genuinely excited.”
As for Gong Ji-hyeok, Jang explains, “He’s cool-headed and chic, but in front of the woman he loves he’s pure and almost childlike. He’s also incredibly straightforward about love. He throws himself into everything―work and love―like a blaze. That’s what makes him so compelling.” It’s that irresistible gap: frosty composure at work, undone vulnerability in love.
“Dynamic Kiss” premieres Nov. 12 at 9 p.m. KST on SBS.
