TVING’s dating reality series "EXchange" just hit a franchise first: across four seasons, a former cast member is heading down the aisle.

Jung Hye-im, who appeared on Season 1 in 2021, announced on Nov. 3 via her social media and YouTube channel that she’s getting married. In the video, Jung shares that she said yes to a surprise proposal and is now planning the wedding.

Her fiance is five years younger, and the two have been together for about a year. Their story began when he attended Jung’s flea market as a fan and left a handwritten letter and a small gift. Casual messages led to a coffee meetup, and the connection quickly turned romantic.

Jung admits she initially hesitated over the age gap, but his small, thoughtful gestures―like draping his coat over her shoulders―won her over. On their second date, he made a straightforward confession and asked to date seriously, even emphasizing their compatibility with a fortune reading, which sealed her confidence in the relationship.

“He always surprises me with the purest heart. I want to spend my life giving that love back,” Jung says in the clip, adding, “If I’m sitting on the bare floor, he’ll fold his clothes to make a seat for me.”

The couple decided to take the next step during a birthday celebration Jung planned for him, complete with a reservation at a fine-dining restaurant, gifts, and an event space inspired by the film "About Time." He capped the night by proposing with a bouquet and a ring―and she said yes.

"EXchange" reunites exes to reflect on past relationships and explore new connections. During her season, Jung did not leave the show as part of a couple.
