Episode 7, airing Nov. 4, will unveil a definitive Top 100 chart of Korea’s most-loved ballads, built from a nationwide survey of 5,000 respondents weighted by age demographics and vetted by pop-music experts.
Round 3’s duet battles kick off this week. Newly formed duos will go head-to-head with picks from the Top 100 list, while the Top 100 panel―kept in the dark about each duo’s lineup―sets the bracket based solely on the original artists behind the songs, paving the way for some wildly unexpected matchups.
Joining the panel, DAESUNG fills in for Choo Sung-hoon and Danny Koo, bringing his trademark humor and warmth. He names “Gather My Tears,” composed by Jung Jae-hyung, as his personal all-time ballad―leaving viewers curious where the classic will place on the chart.
The night opens with a marquee showdown: Lee Ji-hoon and Kang Ji-yeon vs. Choi Eun-bin and Kim Yoon-i. Self-professed “Kim Kwang-seok kid” Lee teams with the resolute-voiced Kang for the show’s first male-female rendition of Shin Sung-woo’s “Seosi,” stoking anticipation from the panel.
Meanwhile, Round 2 breakout Kim Yoon-i pairs with powerhouse vocalist Choi Eun-bin for a high-impact duet on Deulgukhwa’s “That’s My World,” promising a fresh twist. Judge Cha Tae-hyun even raves that one team delivered “a perfect 100,” calling it the best stage yet―fueling speculation over who earned the kudos.
