As reports surface that singer Sung Si-kyung suffered significant financial losses tied to a manager he worked with for more than a decade, a person claiming to be part of his concert crew has posted an explosive account that’s drawing intense scrutiny.

A crew member identified only as A wrote, “I saw comments like, ‘Celebs make good money while managers don’t,’ and it made my blood boil.” The post continued, “The manager made a big show of cracking down on scalpers, then cut the complimentary tickets for performers and staff in half, siphoned off VIP tickets to sell on the side, took payments into a friend’s bank account, and walked away with it―just that alone adds up to hundreds of millions of won.”

The claims have not been independently verified. On the 3rd, Sung Si-kyung’s agency SK Jaewon said, “We confirmed that his former manager engaged in conduct that betrayed the company’s trust while employed. Based on our internal review, we recognize the gravity of the matter and are working to determine the exact scope of the losses.” The company did not disclose specific amounts or details.

Attempts to reach B, the former manager who reportedly left the role, were unsuccessful; he had changed his phone number and could not be contacted.

Earlier, Sung shared that “the past few months have been incredibly painful,” adding that he experienced “a devastating breach of trust by someone I considered family.”
