G-DRAGON and actor Cha Eun-woo shared a warm backstage moment at the APEC summit, serving up major star power and easy camaraderie behind the scenes.
On Nov. 5, G-DRAGON dropped a video titled “A Day with GD” on his official YouTube channel, offering a behind-the-scenes look at the Oct. 31 welcome banquet for the 32nd Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit in Gyeongju, South Korea.
In the clip, after wrapping his pre-show prep, G-DRAGON heads to the green room, where Cha Eun-woo―who hosted the banquet―is waiting.
Suited up, Cha greets him with a big smile and a playful salute; G-DRAGON beams and reaches out first. The two share a quick chat before pulling each other into a warm hug, setting a friendly, feel-good tone.
Onstage, G-DRAGON wore a black suit topped with a hat evoking a traditional Korean “gat,” and tore through “Power,” “Home Sweet Home,” and more. Invited as an official promotional ambassador for APEC, he was the event’s sole K-pop act―and even had world leaders pulling out their phones to record his set.
Cha Eun-woo emceed the banquet in fluent English, telling guests, “I’m actor Cha Eun-woo. I never imagined I would stand here as your emcee today.” Polished in a tailored suit, he kept the program moving with calm, confident poise.
Cha Eun-woo is currently serving as a private first class in the Republic of Korea Army with the Ministry of National Defense’s Service Support Group, having enlisted on July 28.
