'Same Bed, Different Dreams 2' Cheon Hye-rin Says Shin Seung-jae's First Impression Was 'The Worst'
You're My DestinyThe day-to-day life of married couple Shin Seung-jae and Cheon Hye-rin took center stage.

On the Nov. 10 broadcast of SBS’s “Same Bed, Different Dreams 2: You Are My Destiny,” YouTuber Shin and Cheon joined as the show’s newest couple.

They recalled becoming a campus couple in college soon after they first met. When the panel asked how Hye-rin warmed up to Seung-jae if she initially couldn’t stand him, she laughed: “We ran into each other again at a club. He came over and basically taught me how to have fun,” she said, adding, “He was kind of famous. He’s one person by day and another by night―and that contrast got me.”

Hye-rin also shared what it took to get her family’s blessing to marry a cattle farmer. “When we went to ask for my parents’ approval, my dad worried I’d have no life and be tied to the cows,” she said. “But my husband told him that’s old-fashioned―that everything’s smart now, and we’re even close to Everland and really close to Seoul. I believed him, and that’s why I decided to marry.”

So do they actually get to Seoul―or Everland―often? “We’ve been married seven years, and I don’t think we’ve gone to Seoul even five times,” Hye-rin admitted. “We’ve only been to Everland for the kids’ field trips, never just the two of us.” She joked that she’d been sweet-talked into it.

“I didn’t even know before we married that you have to feed the cows twice a day,” she added. “Now I really understand what my dad meant about being tied to them.”

Later, Hye-rin’s mother-in-law bristled at the couple ordering delivery and suggested they harvest chili peppers together instead.

While Hye-rin usually jumps into any task, she tried to dodge the pepper harvest―prompting curiosity from the panel.

“If you want to lose weight fast, come to the pepper field,” she quipped. “It’s so hard you can barely breathe.”

Comedian Kim Yong-myung agreed, noting, “Peppers are the peak of farm work. It’s really tough,” echoing Hye-rin’s point.

Even so, Hye-rin rolled up her sleeves to help her mother-in-law―and still spoke her mind, drawing laughs.

Barn chores stretched late into the evening. Hye-rin effortlessly hoisted a 55-pound bag of feed, surprising everyone. A bit later, Seung-jae showed up with their favorite fried chicken.

The pair held a little late-night snack party right there in the barn, toasting each other’s hard work with makgeolli.

They turned up the music and danced, turning the space into a makeshift club―and ending the night on a sweet, feel-good note.
