Popular gaming YouTuber Sutak, who was kidnapped and assaulted before being rescued, shared a hospital update and opened up about the harrowing ordeal.
On Nov. 11, Sutak told fans via his YouTube community that he’s “hospitalized and receiving treatment,” adding that he recently underwent surgery for an orbital fracture. “After I was beaten and abducted, I honestly thought, ‘So this is how I die.’ I’m grateful to be here and able to share this with you,” he wrote.
“When I saw my face after being rescued, it was covered in blood. It was devastating ― it felt like they really meant to kill me,” he continued. “I’ll have scars and aftereffects, but the outpouring of comfort and support is giving me the strength to recover.” He added that while he’s still struggling emotionally, he’s focused on getting back to himself: “I refuse to let those attackers destroy my life. I will see this through to the end.”
“For now, I just want the perpetrators to face serious consequences,” he said. “I’ll return once I’ve regained my health. Please stay safe and healthy.”
Earlier, Incheon’s Yeonsu Police arrested a man in his 20s and another in his 30s on charges including attempted murder, alleging they abducted the YouTuber from an underground parking lot in Songdo on the 26th. Investigators say the suspects drove him roughly 200 kilometers to Geumsan County in South Chungcheong Province before officers tracked them down and made arrests about four hours later, before dawn.
