'Would You Marry Me' Hits 11.1% Peak as Choi Woo-shik & Jung So-min's Romance Connects
Uju, Marry MeWith just two episodes to go, "Would You Marry Me" is still climbing. The SBS Friday?Saturday drama notched a new series high, driven by a late-season surge and a romance that’s hitting all the right notes.

Penned by Lee Ha-na and directed by Song Hyun-wook and Hwang In-hyeok, "Would You Marry Me" follows two strangers who stage a 90-day newlywed act to win a luxury home giveaway. The crackling chemistry between leads Choi Woo-shik and Jung So-min, plus the show’s breakneck pacing, has kept viewers hooked week after week.

Episode 10 upped the stakes. Kim Woo-joo (Choi) watches his uncle Jang Han-gu (Kim Young-min) finally drop the mask, throwing family business Myeongsundang into crisis. After learning Han-gu is tied to an investment scam, Woo-joo’s grandmother Go Pil-nyeon (Jung Ae-ri) collapses, and the shop is falsely accused of taking money on phony contracts. Even as the fallout mounts, Yoo Me-ri (Jung) stays by Woo-joo’s side, and the pair team up to expose Han-gu―delivering both heart and catharsis.

Viewers have been vocal about loving the breathless storytelling. The show’s swift handling of Woo-joo and Me-ri’s romance―and now the Myeongsundang scandal―has kept the momentum high with little downtime.

The payoff showed up in the numbers: Episode 10 peaked at 11.1%, with a 7.9% nationwide average and 8.5% in the Seoul capital area. Among the key 20?49 demo, it hit a high of 3.26% (2.4% average), topping all Saturday miniseries. Globally, "Would You Marry Me" ranked No. 4 on Disney+’s worldwide TV chart as of Nov. 4, per FlixPatrol, and has stayed near the top since its debut as buzz spreads among international viewers.

"Would You Marry Me" airs Fridays and Saturdays at 9:50 p.m. KST on SBS and is available on Disney+ in select regions.
