What looked like a wrap after Lee Yi-kyung vowed legal action over AI-fueled rumors has reignited, as the woman who first posted the allegations reversed course and sparked fresh fallout.

Lee previously denied the swirling claims on social media as “completely false” and said he would pursue strong legal action. His agency said on Nov. 3 that it had filed a criminal complaint for defamation against those who created or spread the rumors, adding there had been “no settlement or monetary compensation.”

The woman who uploaded the initial post also shared an apology at first, saying the clip in question was AI-manipulated―seemingly closing the chapter. But just a day after the complaint was filed, she resurfaced in the comments on Nov. 4, walking back her apology.

She wrote that she was “considering posting verification photos,” claimed “the AI explanation isn’t true,” and insisted she “was never sued,” sowing new confusion. She also hinted at releasing a photo referencing a specific clothing color, further stoking speculation. None of these assertions have been verified.

Amid the uncertainty, Lee recently exited MBC’s "Hangout with Yoo," and a planned MC role on KBS2’s "The Return of Superman" fell through, leaving fans concerned.

SBS Entertainment News asked Lee’s team to comment on the renewed “specific color proof photo” tease and the claim that “no lawsuit was filed,” but did not receive a response by press time.
