Former ADOR CEO Min Hee-jin has issued a statement on NewJeans’ decision to return as a five-member group.
“In a statement released on the 13th, she said, “The members’ choice to come back together was made after deep reflection and discussion. I respect and support that decision.” She added, “There were hardships, but I cherish the courage it took for them to rejoin hands to protect one another,” underscoring the importance of preserving the five-member lineup.
“I can start anew anywhere,” she continued. “But in any circumstance, NewJeans must be fully protected as a group of five. I hope they grow stronger, become an even better NewJeans, and―above all―that all five are happy.”
Min also addressed her ongoing legal battle with HYBE. “Multiple suits have been unfolding at once, and it’s been a prolonged, difficult period for all of us. The litigation between me and HYBE is entirely separate from NewJeans,” she said. “I’m doing my best as a private individual and trust the truth will come to light. Thank you for your support.”
Meanwhile, on the 12th, all five members of NewJeans announced they will return to ADOR, effectively closing the nearly yearlong dispute over their exclusive contracts.
